What is Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer? How To Treat Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer?

Actually, There are two types of lung cancer: non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC). Lung cancer often refers to NSCLC which represents 80% of cases with SCLC representing the other 20%.  As I already said NSCLC is the most common of the two types of lung cancer. It can actually be further broken down into three types; Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Adenocarcinoma and Large Cell Carcinoma.  1. Squamous Cell Carcinoma:- This type of NSCLC develops when the cells that line the airways start to grow in a rapid and uncontrollable way. It often spreads to other areas of the body quite easily because of the regular passage of fluids (blood and lymph) through the lungs. 2. Adenocarcinoma:- This type of NSCLC occurs when the mucus producing cells of the lungs start to grow rapidly and uncontrollably eventually leading to the formation of a tumour. It does not spread as easily as other forms of NSCLC and often stays localised. 3. Large Cell Carcinoma:- This type of NSC
What is Ovarian cancer? Ovarian cancer begins in the ovaries and spreads across the body. The female reproductive system comprises two ovaries, one on either side of the uterus.. When abnormal cells in the ovary begin to grow out of control and form a tumour, this is referred to as ovarian cancer. It's common for it to go undetected until it's spread across the pelvis and abdomen. Ovarian cancer in its early stages rarely produces any symptoms. Ovarian cancer in its advanced stages can present with a number of symptoms that are easily mistaken for more common benign conditions. Many of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer include: Abdominal bloating or swelling Quickly feeling full when eating Weight loss  Discomfort in the pelvis area   Changes in bowel habits, such as constipation  A frequent need to urinate The use of Alphalan in Cancer Treatment Multiple myeloma and ovarian cancer are treated with the anti-cancer tablet Alphalan. It belongs to the alkylating agents cl

Common Symptoms of Having Ovarian Cancer

Although when the term ovarian cancer is mentioned, not many women actually realize that there are several different types, all which arise from the cells of the ovary. These typically include: epithelial ovarian cancer (including borderline), fallopian tube cancer, and primary peritoneal cancer. Most tumors tend to arise are from the epithelium, or the lining cells of the ovary, although there are also some less common types of tumor that exist as well (those that arise from the ovary itself). Two such types are: germ cell tumors, and sex cord-stromal tumors. Epithelial Ovarian Cancer (EOC) - develops from various cells on the surface of the ovary, and usually accounts for around 70% of all diagnosed cases. Making epithelial ovarian cancer the most commonly diagnosed in women to date. Depending on the type of cell that caused the cancer, it can be generally thought of as being one of three: ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancer. All which have similar behavioral patt
